Burning Daylight, more character set up
« on: August 23, 2014, 10:13:26 PM »

Months ago I used to have a place called Burning Daylight
Labs (tm).
  Then the world died.
Now I am back somehow in this world.
Things are mostly the
same, but there are some differences.
No aliens is mighty nice.
 Don't get me wrong, some
of them were good friends (I am kind of missing Tri-Blade and Afflima), but most of them were homicidal
assholes.
Giant bugs and bionic amazons were the worst.
Another nice thing is the lack of supernatural monsters.
Used to be you had packs of werewolves and other things
running around.
  Zombies and vampires?
  Yup those too,
they were more annoying then dangerous like the aliens
were.
  This world is NICE.
Yeah you still have the mega-
corp idiots trying to take over the world, and there is
some kind of secret government thing going on (how did the
mayor get my cell phone number?).
  But as long as all
they want is help with the occasional amok robot or maniac
i can live with that.

One thing I miss though is the labs, having an office
that I could go to and work on something for the fun of it.

To that end i have bought an old garage.
  Years ago it was
a two pump gas station that had three service bays.
  Then
when small town gas stations went out of business replaced
by gas station beer stores (what idjut thought that was a
good idea?) it became a motor cycle repair place (and had
a backroom tattoo shop).
They got busted last year selling
recreational chemicals in addition to fixing hogs.
  Ooops.
I bought it last week at a sheriff's sale.
It kind of a  fixer upper.
It has plenty of workbench space, but the roof
 REALLY needed some work.
I am having a new one put in this
week.  I am also spending some time painting over the
graffiti the little punks have decorated it with.
  Swastikas and skulls.   Really?
How stupid juvenile idiot can you get? One bay I am
going to put a gym weight set and a treadmill in.  The two
on the right side i am going to set up the "lab" in.
  A
couple of computers and 3d printers, a workbench i can solder
on and maybe a small welding set up.
   The last month or so
I have been working in notebooks and legal pads trying to
recreate the Zygs power supplies from their first wave tanks.
The second wave hover tank things are a bit beyond what i
think i can create with over the counter earth tech.
The older ones with the legs?
Yeah i think i can do that.
Of course
not having Lab Guy and a couple other genius types to help
out is going to make things harder, but I can do it.
The first one just has to work well enough to be proof of
concept.
it wont be awesome, but it should be better then
anything the locals have right now.
The other thing I want to do is set up my cover business,
“Uncle Ralph's fat cat mustache wax”.
I am going to make four
varieties, a mustache trainer and a harder mustache wax for
people that want to put loops and things in their mustache.
Bees wax and coconut oil in both, in a different ratio. The
other two will be made with bees wax and grape seed oil
for people who are allergic to tree nuts.
It should be enough of a cover to launder money I make
from selling the weapons that thugs drop when you beat the tar
out of them.
Pay some taxes, maybe a percentage or two over
to keep the thugs from big brother (I mean the irs) off of my back.
I have a good way of finding them.
  What you do is you
look up the sketchy neighborhood phone app, you then take the
bus to whatever hood you have targeted and go jogging after
dark.
Maybe wear an out of town college sweatshirt
(for some reason Notre Dame seems to work well)
.  Go kind of slow, maybe
loop around the block a few times and wait for the little
gangsters to mug you.
You then beat the hades out of them,
being careful not to kill them.
You then take their money
clips and their guns, throw them onto a gym bag and then
fly away.
You can get two or three hundred bucks off of
glocks and colts.
I have taken to unloading one and bending
it into a pretzel and leaving it at the scene as a signature.
I can easily clear a grand or $1500 a night.
  I figure it
is also making the world a better place for non hoods.
It is however hard on my sweatshirts, I make sure to buy
made in the USA.

i apologize for the goofy looking format, this was written on an ipad with an app i was screwing around with, it copy and pasted in an odd way.
